Since its construction in 1884, the property was claimed by many to be haunted by the ghosts of the victims of Winchester's rifles. Building continued for years under Sarah Winchester's direction, all the way up until her death in 1922.   • How long is the Winchester Mystery House Tour?

    The estate offers two tours for visiting guests. The basic Mansion Tour is 1 hour and 5 minutes and takes you through the most famous rooms of the house. The longer Explore More Tour is 2 hours and 15 minutes, taking guests to some of the more hidden areas.
  • Does the Winchester House do weddings?

    Yes, guests can contact the estate and say their vows in the front gardens with the house as their backdrop. The bridal party can also take photos throughout the mansion and follow up their nuptials with a cocktail hour in the mansion’s greenhouse.
